Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop employing just 4 individuals. Total sales for that initial year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. Throughout 5 years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 workers and their annual sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is amongst the top global makers in the material handling trade.
Manufacture and design of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business opportunities. Over the past 60 years, the material handling industry has developed into a highly advanced field and Cascade has proudly played a part on this progress. Cascade at the moment continues to develop as the leader provider of lift truck accessories and various associated products. In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and selling hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was finished in 1956 on a new office to be able to house all of the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. After fifteen years of business, total employees reached 180 staff and sales had reached practically two million three hundred thousand dollars.
A second production plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry while the business recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.
In 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing services throughout the continental USA to the places Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are made internationally thanks to numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This facility is designed to be the essential customer service centre.
Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and 1997 after buying 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide leader in forks.
