Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are recommended in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck will often use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is designed to raise employees is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
